Ingredients
  

  • 1 baguette
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 ounces goat cheese (or other creamy cheese )
  • 4 ripe figs (thinly sliced)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp chopped pecans (optional)
  • thyme sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Carefully slice a long, thin baguette on the diagonal into 1/2" slices. Lay each slice fat on a baking sheet.
  • Bake baguette slices for 6 to 8 minutes, until golden brown and lightly toasted.
  • Spread each crostini with goat cheese.
  • Top goat cheese with thinly sliced fig.
  • Drizzle each crostini with honey, sprinkle on chopped pecans and garnish with fresh herbs like thyme.

Notes

Substitution Ideas: 
  • Use hot honey instead of regular honey. 
  • Use fig jam instead of fresh figs. 
  • Use cream cheesy or other creamy herb cheese in place of goat cheese.
